Empowering feedback: a VILT success story
One of my key projects was the leadership development training "Empowering Feedback" VILT module, meticulously designed for leadership competency.
This virtual instructor-led training was strategically developed to complement, enhance, and build upon the learning experience for participants who had already completed a self-paced e-learning module. It's a prime example of blended learning, designed to achieve higher-order learning outcomes.
Challenge: Gap in communication and feedback skills among leaders within a government agency. These leaders lacked the specific behavioral skills required to effectively deliver, receive, and model constructive feedback
Solution: Blended learning module that starts with an e-learning module followed by a VILT.
Tools used: MS PowerPoint, Vyond, Slido.
Results: LMS completion rates, decline in HR complaints and conflict resolution, improved performance due to increase in positive interactions and feedback cycles.
